Arts Camps

When school is out, art is IN! Join us for fun-filled art adventures this year. Preregistration is required!

Leadership opportunities are available for high school students (ages 14 and up) as camp volunteers. Camp volunteers are asked to commit to an entire camp session – either five or two days, depending on the camp. Click here to download a volunteer application.

Bring your favorite doll to camp and we’ll create artwork for (and with!) your small friend. The projects in this camp are ideal for 15” to 18” baby dolls. Learn the basics of this exciting movie-making technique that combines numerous still images to form animated stories. The combination of visual arts, storytelling, and technology makes this an exciting multi-disciplinary arts experience!

Campers will personalize their very own dollhouses – painting the home, adding wallpaper, works of art, furniture, figures, miniature food, and so much more. At the end of camp, you’ll have a wonderfully unique dollhouse to keep and treasure! We will also enjoy a field trip to the Great American Dollhouse Museum. This camp is great for girls and boys.

In this camp, young artists will explore all the different characters they can become using their bodies, voices, and imaginations. We will play a variety of theater and improvisation games while allowing artists to mold their individual talents into a small production on the final day. We’re excited to welcome long-time community theater director and actor Beth Marlowe as our lead instructor for this camp! Campers need to pack a lunch.

This creative writing workshop provides students with the tools to begin cultivating their personal style and voice through hands-on activities, round-table editing, free-write prompts and personal mentorship.  Students will experiment with many genres including poetry, memoir and fiction. At the end of the workshop students will share their work with their peers and leave with practical, fun and innovative ways to integrate writing into their everyday lives.
