Afternoon Wheel-Thrown Pottery
Sundays, March 19 to May 7
2pm to 4pm ~ $145
Instructor: Jonas Hurley

If you’ve always dreamed of learning to use a potter’s wheel, it doesn’t get any easier than this. If you’ve taken wheel-thrown pottery before, this will be an opportunity to continue building your skills. Students will learn the basics of creating bowls, vases, mugs and more using an electric potter’s wheel. The class is limited to 8 potters, providing lots of opportunity for one-on-one guidance from the instructor.

Register here.

Please note: this class will not meet on April 9. Need-based scholarships are available. Please contact Maggie Shapiro Haskett at education@communityartscenter.net or 859.236.4054 for more information.

Pottery students also have the opportunity to sign up for a two-month Ceramics Studio Student Membership. Being a member of the studio provides access to the studio outside of class hours, storage space for your materials and work, use of Arts Center glazes, and the opportunity to have the Arts Center fire completed piece.  This special introductory membership costs $50 and includes your first 50 pounds of clay. Additional clay may be purchased for $.66 per pound. The Student Membership is valid through March 31st after which students may apply for a full membership if desired.
