Louise Wilkinson Art Auction

October 24, 2017 @ 11:00 am – 7:00 pm

Louise Wilkinson (1898 to 1984) was a prolific and respected Danville painter who specialized in country scenes and farm life. She was also well-known for her beautiful renditions of iconic buildings such as the Boyle County Courthouse and McDowell House.

The Community Arts Center will be selling a portion of its Wilkinson Collection via a four-day silent auction from October 24 to 27. The collection will be on display at the Arts Center during the auction and photographs will be posted on Facebook. You may bid in person or via Facebook BUT online bidding will close at noon on October 27th with in-person bidding continuing through 7pm that evening. A closing reception will be held from 6pm to 7pm on the 27th.

Artwork is being sold “as-is” and most pieces will require restoration prior to display. Pieces have been assessed by an art conservator and restoration recommendations will accompany each piece.
