Printmaking 101
Tuesdays, January 23 to March 6
7:00pm to 9:00pm | $140
Instructor: Jonas Hurley
Teens and Adults (14+)

Printmaking is one of the oldest art forms in the world, with examples dating back thousands of years. This beginner-level class introduces students to the basics of printmaking, including image selection, block preparation and carving, and image transfer techniques. No drawing experience is required for this class! You will be working from photographs and other existing images. Class concludes with an evening at instructor Jonas Hurley’s farm to pull prints on his printing press (carpooling available!).
Registration fee includes linoleum, ink, use of tools and access to printing press. Students will need to purchase paper of their choosing to use on their final prints. We recommend Strathmore 400 series printmaking paper, available from Hobby Lobby, Dick Blick and Amazon. This is a seven-week class.
