Youth Art Fair Gallery Talk
Youth Art Fair Gallery Talk:
“Arts Education in Our Community”
Tuesday, March 26 | 5pm to 6pm
Free and open to the public
For this public Gallery Talk, we have invited several teachers from our partner schools, along with Jane Dewey, Director of Arts Education for the Danville Schools, to share their insights into the importance of arts education for children. Our speakers will discuss the challenges and opportunities that currently exist in the field as well as the value of community partnerships. We’ve also asked them to highlight several examples of student work and share the educational processes and artistic techniques behind that work.
Please join us for this conversation with some of the leaders in arts education for our community!
This event is part of the Arts Center’s “Community Art Connections” program, made possible by the generous support of Toyota Motor Manufacturing and Corning Incorporated Foundation.
Co-hosted by the Arts Commission of Danville/Boyle County and the Community Arts Center, the annual Youth Art Fair is a celebration of student artists in our community. This year’s exhibit features artwork by nearly 400 students attending 14 schools within Boyle County.
