ReInterpret: Contemporary Landscapes by Billy Hertz
March 1 to April 29
Billy Hertz is a respected Louisville artist and owner of Hertz Galerie. His artwork challenges and redefines traditional interpretations of landscape art, by taking bird’s eye approach. In his work, Billy soars above the landscape, creating an incredible aerial vista in which the tiny details vanish into great swaths of color. Fields become bright patches of reds and greens. Lakes and rivers transform into arcs and puddles of blue.
For this exhibit, Billy has also brought along four of the most promising artists that he represents in his Louisville gallery: Kayla Bischoff, Brad Devlin, Jim Doiron, and Lisa Simon. If you want to see a “Contemporary” art show – the newest of the new, you don’t want to miss it.
